Caroline Dewar worked in international marketing and communications in the Scotch Whisky industry for some 15 years before founding Scotland's first ever dedicated whisky tourism company in 1997, also offering tastings and whisky dinners. 

Known internationally, though no longer creating tours, she has written education courses and continues to write articles, provide whisky consultancy services and deliver tastings and dinners including an annual Whisky Dinner as part of the Islay Whisky Festival (Feis Ile).

The whisky company Caroline worked for owned a major gin brand from where she had some gin education and she has since been exposed to information (and tasting!) on many gin brands as part of her involvement in a drinks/hospitality trade organisation. She was also encouraged to pursue wine and spirit studies through WSET from early on in her career.
